An Arrow Into Cambodia

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. (Ps. 127: 4,5)

My daugter Sarah is an arrow in our quiver, and her father and I have "shot" her into the heart of Cambodia for the second time. The beautiful thing about this is that we do not have to go there ourselves to have an impact in Kamput, Cambodia - though it is likely Tim will be making a trip in 2009. (I will be here, "staying by the stuff", home schooling our youngest. I have clearly heard the Lord telling me to not slack on one mission, in an attempt to prematurely fulfill another. I will accompany my husband on mission trips when my season for that comes.)

How gracious of the Lord to reveal to me that, though I have clipped my own wings so my children might fly to the ends of the earth, I still have authority in the Spirit, in those far-flung places...I can speak to the enemy in the gate of Kamput, without shame. I can bind the strong man, through prayer, and declare the Word of the Lord over the whole nation.

Since my husband and I have released one of our precious arrows, our own flesh and blood, into Cambodia (and Laos, and Viet Nam) we are empowered by the Spirit of God in a special way, to intercede for that nation, speak to the enemy who dwells in the gate there, and declare "Grace and Peace" to Cambodia, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Please be praying for our daughter Sarah, and the whole team, including others of our precious Harvest Church family, Johnathan Trentham, Maria Kear, and her daughter Katherine. The spiritual darkness there is profound, and the warfare is intense.

What are you talking about "spiritual darkness"...You are warped..and have no idea of what you are talking about. Hopefully your daughter Sarah and her friends will educate you on their return to the USA... The Cambodian people are one of the most kind, spiritual, spirit filled, gentle people with the true goodness of heart on this planet. Just because they may not believe in your "Christian" "warfare" "enemy" "darkness".... scary shameful beliefs. What an awful message to try to spread to the innocent people of the world. You should be ashamed of yourself...

I am indeed praying over Cambodia because there is spiritual darkness there. I know that the last trip that Sarah took into Cambodia with Lewis (who has been a missionary there for years) they came back saying it was true spiritual warfare.
There are kind, gentle loving people in Cambodia who are fighting the good fight... there are kind, gentle, loving people who are deceived there... and there are people there who are dangerous. Just like here in the US. There is ONE God and ONE way to Heaven and gentle, loving, kind or not... they're not gonna make it there without someone sharing Jesus' light in a dark world.
Thank you for this post. It is the truth! and, I know I don't need to say it because you feel no shame... but GOOD for you!! NO SHAME NECESSARY!

The message of God needs to spread. PRAISE GOD, for the boldness of this missions team to go and storm the gate of that buddah invested country. PRAISE GOD, that they love the people of cambodia enough to give them the truth. PRAISE GOD, that are choosing to lay their life down to work and rebuild orphanages for the homeless children over there. PRAISE YOU FATHER for sending your son to die so the capatives can be set free. Bring even more truth to the people in cambodia and obviously to our own nation.

Let me ask you, have you laid down your life or set aside the things that matter most to you to help others?

How many missions trips have you been on?

What have you given up?

Until you have fought the good fight, or stood for something other then yourself. Until you surrender completely to God, I wouldn't be messing with one of Gods highly favored children. Repent and do it quickly my friend or so be it unto you.

Jamie Hemphill, who was once blind but now I see. I pray God opens up your eyes to the truth.

khmerlife, what have you laid your life down for? Anything?

What have you sacrificed or given up to help someone other then yourself? Anything at all?

Until you can do what these missionaires do, until you can answer the call of God like they have, until you can make the sacrifices that they choose to make, until you can see the vision and the heart of the Father God as they have, are you in any place to speak on the things you know nothing about, on the things you have never experienced.

Whats a shame is speaking that to which you know nothing about.

Dear khmerelife,

Perhaps you protest a bit too much here. I do not find anything offensive in the post. The people of Cambodia were not demonized or made to be evil. To speak of spiritual darkness is to reveal that there are still people in this world who are under a cloud of deception. Christianity simply believs that those without Jesus Christ are being ripped off. To make such a declaration as this blog has is to demonstrate a concern for the people under such dillusion. I do not understand why you should be in such discomfort at the thought that anyone other than yourself could care about a people who have not heard the truth of the gospel.

The people of Cambodia were in no way demeaned or deamed wothless or horrible. They were conveyed as a people who matter, who have worth to God, in fact enough worth for Him to send His only Son to die for their sins just as he has for all who have come to know the truth concerning Jesus.

Please do not get hung up on words about spiritual battle or warfare. They are not what you obviously think they are.

Spiritual darkness comes from the lack of having spiritual light - the light, being Jesus. Just because a person, of any country, is a 'good' person does not mean they have a personal relationship with Jesus, and are saved. Does that help you understand? Elaine

Hey...

Ok...totally on a different thread to these comments...I have a friend who is in the office of a prophet who had a prophetic song over Cambodia end of last year...

It went something like this...

"Cambodia...be filled with the glory of God...Cambodia...be filled with the glory of God..." Will try to get all the words for you if you are interested...

Anyways...will be praying for your daughter and her mum(you) and dad who will be praying for her safe return!

And even more...will be praying that she will be a carrier of the Glory...and that from her trip...the people of Cambodia...will indeed be "filled with the Glory of God"

We serve a loving and faithful God...who specialises in the MIRACULOUS!

Ursula, I would love to hear this prophetic word for Cambodia. Because *that* is what I mean by spiritual warfare...I believe the battle is won in the spirit, when we pray and speak and sing the word of the Lord over that nation.

Besides preparing a new building for the orphanage to occupy, much of what my daugter is doing is prayer walking - quietly walking and singing and praying the Scriptures over the people there.

And they are a gentle, beautiful people, who have treated her with great kindness and hospitality.

Thank you for taking time to comment! If I get this word from you within the next day or so, there is still time to get it to the team who is there.

Grace and Peace!

Here we go:

Come Higher still, glorious inheritance, come higher still, glorious people, come higher still, glorious people come higher still, a glorious nation come higher still, come higher still, come higher still, live from heaven down, You'll live from heaven down, you'll live from heaven down, heaven down, heaven down, heaven down, heaven down.

There is a mighty wave thats going to break on the earth, and his people are in that wave, His people are part of this liquid move, the Spirit is joining the Bride up into this wave so that they can crash onto the world and say, come Jesus, come and get your glory Jesus, we are Your Glory! Every person on the earth, we are your glory, every person on the earth, (tongues),

OH Cambodia, place of Death shall become a place of Life, Oh Cambodia, my beautiful young one, raped and beaten, your life was snached from you, but I will gather you. (Isi Crying)

Royalty, Royalty, Royalty, Royalty, Royalty, Royalty, Royal Priests, Royal Priests, Royal Priests, Royal Sons, Royal Sons, Royal Sons - Royal Heirs, Royal Heirs, Royal Heirs, a generation of royalty, and royalty and royalty, royalty, full of grace, roll out the carpet.

Burma, I see wings of God over Burma. Royal girls, I just see young girls, princesses crowned with compassion - I see dancing little feet, in Burma.

Many of these nations have been put into your heart to pray, revival in the nations.

Mighty warring angels in the Middle East, the squadron of heaven being released for the end time, giving divine strategies. Places where overnight buildings will go, divine exchange, new strategies, how do we get together? Who's going to lead this, who's going to lead that? Divine strategies. Divine strategies, the middle east, the wings of God, over the Middle East, the wings of God, the wings of God, the wings of God, protective wings, protective wings, His eyes, his eyes are on His bride, divine exchange, divine exchange.

(Tongues) He is going to use persecution to catapult the church again into the most powerful powerful season of all time. The Bride is going up with Glory, full of glory, a glorious Bride.

(Tongues) Even to Israel. Even unto Israel. Somebody right now, in your heart, even unto Israel. (Tongues)

There is somebody here, God is going to call you somewhere to meet with you, He is going to require you to get onto a plane, and He is meet with you so powerfully, He is going to put an apostolic annointing on you. Just yourself in this motel, He is going to come and visit with you so powerfully. Just turn around the events of your life.

We worship You, we worship at your feet, we worship at your feet, we worship at your feet, we lie at your feet, beautiful feet, beautiful feet, we worship at His throne, we worship at the throne, its closer than your know, the throne the throne the throne, Enthroned in the praises of the people of God, Hes enthroned in the place of your praise, Hes enthroned in the praises of the people of God, He's enthroned. River Flow, River Flow, river flow in the people of God, river flow.

His feet, the river of God flows from the throne, His Feet are in the water, it flows past His feet, He has His feet in the water. We love You. We love You. We love You. We love You. We love You. We love, we love, we love. Where your Glory dwells. To gaze on You, on your beauty, on your face. To gaze on you, to stare at you, what else can I see?

Hello Everyone - interesting thread of discussion!
I'm home now - part of the Cambodia team - resting and recovering from two days of flying and airports.
I'm so blessed by the prophetic song that the Lord brought over Cambodia.
The song that the Lord put on my heart - and which we sung over Cambodia several times - is this:
Father of creation
Unfold Your sovereign plan
Raise up a chosen generation
That will march through the land
All of creation is longing
For Your unveiling of power
Would You release Your anointing
Oh God, let this be the hour!

Let your glory fall in this (place)
Let it go forth from here to the nations
Let Your fragrance rest in this place
As we gather to seek Your face

Ruler of the nations
The world has yet to see
The full release of Your promise
The church in victory
Turn to us Lord and touch us
Make us strong in Your might
Overcome our weakness
That we can stand up and fight

Let Your glory fall....

With love and thankfulness for what God is doing in Cambodia...
Maria
